One Calling. Many Expressions.

The work has changed over the years. The calling hasn’t.

I didn’t set out to build a career.

I simply kept saying yes to opportunities to serve.

Looking back, I can see a thread running through experiences that once seemed very different from one another: pastoral ministry, business and community leadership, serving elected officials, building organizations, coaching leaders, writing, and speaking.

Different places. Different roles. Different seasons.

But as the expressions changed, the calling became clearer.

It Has Always Been About People

Pastoral ministry taught me that leadership begins with people.

Serving as President of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce showed me what can happen when people from different sectors work together around a shared purpose.

Leading Influence grew from those same convictions. For nearly two decades, I’ve had the privilege of serving elected leaders and their staff across Canada through encouragement, prayer, pastoral care, and genuine relationship.

That experience has reinforced something I wish more Canadians could see:

Behind the politics are people.

Building What Matters

Other opportunities have carried the same thread.

The Big Spend showed me what can happen when ordinary people rally around a hopeful idea.

Towards A Better Canada grew from years of watching political division deepen while also seeing, firsthand, the power of kindness, respect, and relationship across political lines.

Coaching, writing, and speaking have become further ways to invest in people, strengthen leaders, and help turn good ideas into meaningful action.

One Coherent Story

What once looked like a collection of unrelated opportunities now feels like one coherent story.

The settings have changed.

The assignments have changed.

But underneath them has been the same desire:

To invest in people, build bridges, strengthen communities, and leave things better than I found them.

What Comes Next

The story isn’t finished.

I’m increasingly interested in what can happen when experience is invested rather than simply accumulated—when the lessons of one season become resources for the next.

So I intend to keep serving, building, writing, speaking, encouraging, and investing wherever I can make a meaningful contribution.

Because the future isn’t something we simply inherit.

It’s something we build—together.
