A Calling I Never Expected

I've become convinced that God delights in surprising us.
 

Looking back, many of the most meaningful chapters of my life began where I least expected to find them. They weren't part of my plan, but they were a part of the greater plan for my life.
 

Leading Influence is one of those stories.
 

When I entered ministry, I never imagined I'd one day spend so much of my life serving elected leaders. Yet over time, I became convinced that behind every title was a person carrying the weight of leadership—someone who needed encouragement, prayer, and a chaplain who simply cared.
 

I couldn't shake the conviction that serving leaders was a meaningful way to serve our country.
 

That conviction became Leading Influence.
 

Faithfully Present
Since 2006, Leading Influence has served elected leaders across Canada through legislative chaplaincy, pastoral care, prayer, and trusted relationships.  By the end of 2026, we will have chaplains in every Canadian province.
 

We don't lobby governments or champion political parties. We simply seek to be faithfully present—walking alongside leaders, caring for them as people, and trusting God to work in their lives in His own way and in His own time.
 

Why It Matters

This calling has shaped the way I think about leadership, faith, hope, and the future.
 

Many of the ideas you'll find throughout this website were first lived before they were written.
 

Leading Influence isn't simply something I've done.
 

It's one of the ways God has shaped me.
